Mini Sites - Spore Competition

To promote the Spore Creature Creator I ran a competition on EAGames.com in collaboration with the EAUK Community to win scale models of Spore Creatures. For this I found an artist to create the models and set up a mini-site for the competition including a custom built FLV player with Spore branding to show off the user submitted videos.

I followed up the competition with a series of interviews with the winners and photos of their finished models which were published on Spore.com.

Mini Sites - Be The One

Be The One is an event run by EA as part of London Games Week. I was tasked with designing a mini-site for promoting Be The One including a television for the media page.

The logo for BTO was changed after the original layout for this site was coded meaning that the graphics had to be changed quickly. While the PR team were happy with the final site, I felt it was a compromise.

The majority of the work for these mini-sites involved taking existing content and placing it within eagames.co.uk.

The MFestival site was created to support the EA presence at Multiplays's M Festival and the header banner was created with assets taken from the M Festival website.
I was responsible for writing the blogs and content for the site.

Mini Sites - Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 & FaceBreaker

Most of the graphical elements and content for the Tiger Woods and FaceBreaker sites were taken from the official US websites for these titles and re-formatted to fit within EAGames.co.uk. Some elements had to be created or re-created such as font styles and layouts.

A countdown to launch date was created in flash for the Tiger site. The FaceBreaker boxers page had to be recreated with HTML and CSS as the original was flash based.

Web Site Maintenance.

I was asked by Craig from Ascension Productions to help finish off the website while their designer was unavailable. The design was already done and in place but content needed to be added some of the layout needed to be redesigned.

I re-coded the pages from the ground up to include usability features such as resizable text and to cut down on unnecessary images. I also coded an FLV player in Actionscript to display the videos on the site which is no longer used.

Website Re-design.

Lucy Stock approached me and asked me to create a fresh new design for her web site which would use her own artwork for the graphics. I worked with Lucy to plan the site and to digitise her hand drawn graphics to be used on the site.

Due to various factors the site was put on hold but you can take a look at the work in progress.

This website was coded to W3C standards with an emphasis on accessibility and incorporated a flash game coded entirely in actionscript.

The site was tested to appear the same across the majority of browsers and was tested to be accessible to those with sight impairments, learning difficulties and colour blindness.
The project was managed using DSDM. Read the report.
